Cap Ed, Capital Educators Federal Credit Union, awarded its second $750 December Teacher Grant of the Month to Lauretta Boulton of Centennial High School. Boulton will use the grant to purchase multidisciplinary learning resources for the Centennial High School academic decathlon program.

Academic decathlons are comprised of ten categories: art, economics, essay writing, interview skills, language and literature, mathematics, music, science, social sciences, and speech. (more…)

Cap Ed, Capital Educators Federal Credit Union, awarded its first December Teacher Grant of the Month to Brad Watson of Nampa Senior High School. He will use the grant to purchase novels and create an interactive learning environment while enhancing literature curriculum and team building skills.

“One difficulty faced each year by Language Arts teachers is the difficulty encountered in getting students to read an entire novel,” said Watson. (more…)
